Terms of Service

Last updated:

Plain-language summary; the final text is pending legal review.

These Terms are the rules for using YouCanDo Travel (travelycd.com) to search for and book flights, with or without an account. Please read them together with our Privacy Policy and the fare rules shown for your flight.

On this page

1. Who we are and agreeing to these Terms

YouCanDo Travel is operated by You Can Do Inc. (“we”, “us”), a corporation incorporated in [to be confirmed], with its address at [to be confirmed].

By searching, booking or creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you book for other travelers, you confirm that they have authorized you to do so and that you accept these Terms on their behalf.

2. What we do, and what the airline does

YouCanDo Travel is a booking service, not an airline. Flight content and ticketing come from our airline-content partner, which creates your booking with the airline. The airline operates the flight and is responsible for it under its own conditions of carriage, which form part of your contract with the airline.

We show the offers the airlines make available to us. Schedules, prices and availability are set by the airlines and can change until your booking is confirmed.

3. Guest bookings and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old to book or to create an account. Children can travel as passengers on a booking made by an adult.
  • You can book as a guest with just your email address. To find a guest booking later, you need the booking reference and the email used to book, so keep your confirmation email safe: anyone with both can view the booking.
  • An account is optional. It keeps your trips in one place. You sign in with your email address; keep your login details secure, as you are responsible for activity on your account.

4. Booking a flight

  • Enter each traveler’s name exactly as it appears on the passport or government ID they will travel with, and check dates of birth and other details. Airlines may charge for corrections after ticketing, or refuse them.
  • The price is shown in full before you pay, including taxes and the airline’s mandatory fees. Optional extras, such as checked bags, are added to the total before you pay.
  • Some offers must be paid by a deadline shown at checkout. After it, the price or seat may no longer be available.
  • Your booking is confirmed when your payment succeeds and the airline confirms the booking. We email the confirmation with your booking reference.
  • If the airline cannot confirm your booking after you have paid, we cancel it and automatically refund the full amount to your original payment method.

5. Fare rules, changes and refunds

Every fare comes with the airline’s fare rules: whether it is refundable, whether it can be changed and at what cost, and what baggage is included. We show them before you pay. Changes, cancellations and refunds follow those fare rules.

  • If the airline cancels your flight or changes it significantly, and you do not accept the alternative offered, you are entitled to a refund under US Department of Transportation rules. We process it to your original payment method.
  • If your fare allows free cancellation within 24 hours of booking, contact us within that window and we will cancel it for you.
  • To ask for a change, cancellation or refund, write to support@travelycd.com with your booking reference.
  • Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5 to 10 business days after we receive them, depending on your bank.

6. Payment

Stripe processes payments; we never see or store your full card number. You are charged in the currency shown at checkout. Your bank may add foreign transaction fees, which are outside our control. Any fee we charge is shown before you pay.

When you are signed in, you can instead pay the whole total of a fare in US dollars from YCD Wallet (below).

7. YCD Wallet

  • YCD Wallet is operated by You Can Do Inc. It is one balance for every YCD app, YouCanDo Travel included: you add money to it by card, and you can pay for a booking from it.
  • Money in YCD Wallet can only be spent in YCD apps. YCD Wallet is not a bank account and earns no interest. Its balance can’t be sent to other people or withdrawn, and it doesn’t expire.
  • Refunds of bookings paid with YCD Wallet go back to your YCD Wallet, including when the airline can’t confirm a booking after you have paid.
  • Where the law requires it, we pay out a remaining balance on request: write to support@travelycd.com.

8. Travel documents and requirements

You are responsible for having a valid passport, any visas, an ID that meets REAL ID requirements for US domestic flights, and any health or entry documents required by the countries you travel to or through. Check in and arrive at the gate on time under the airline’s rules. An airline may refuse boarding if you do not meet its requirements; that is not a reason for a refund unless the fare rules say so.

9. Delays, cancellations and baggage

Your rights when a flight is delayed, canceled or overbooked, or when baggage is lost or damaged, are set by the airline’s conditions of carriage and by law, including US Department of Transportation rules and, for international travel, the Montreal Convention. Claims about the flight itself go to the airline; we will help where we can.

10. Acceptable use

Do not make speculative, duplicate or fraudulent bookings, use a payment card you are not authorized to use, resell tickets where the airline prohibits it, or scrape, overload or try to break into YouCanDo Travel. We may cancel bookings made fraudulently, as the law allows, and suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.

11. Seller of travel registration

Some states, such as California, Florida, Hawaii and Washington, require sellers of travel to register. Our registration details: [to be confirmed].

12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

YouCanDo Travel is provided “as is”. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of airlines, including delays, cancellations, overbooking, schedule changes, baggage handling or events during travel, except where the law makes us responsible.

To the fullest extent the law allows, You Can Do Inc. is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of YouCanDo Travel. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under US Department of Transportation rules, or any liability that cannot be limited by law.

13. Disputes with us

How disputes between you and You Can Do Inc. are resolved, and which law governs these Terms: [to be confirmed by counsel].

In the meantime, if you have a concern, write to support@travelycd.com with your booking reference and we will try to help.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The version in force when you book applies to that booking. If a change is material, we will tell account holders by email before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page shows the current version.
