1. Cookies and storage we use

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We also use your browser’s local and session storage, which work in a similar way. We group them like this:

  • Necessary (always on): keep you signed in (the ycd_logged_in cookie, which lasts up to 7 days, and sign-in tokens kept in your browser), carry the flight offer you picked from search into checkout (session storage, cleared when you close the tab), remember your cookie choices (ycd.cookies.consent and ycd.cookies.preferences), and protect payments (Stripe sets its own fraud-prevention cookies on its payment pages).
  • Preferences (always on): remember settings you choose, such as whether you dismissed the prompt to install the app.
  • Analytics and performance (off unless you allow them): help us see which pages are used and where the site is slow. We do not run analytics tools today; if we add them, they will only run when this setting is on.
  • Marketing (off unless you allow them): we do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking. If that ever changes, they will only run when this setting is on, and never when your browser sends Global Privacy Control.

2. Global Privacy Control

If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information. Marketing cookies stay off in that browser, whatever the setting above. See Your Privacy Choices.

3. Managing cookies in your browser

You can also see, block and delete cookies in your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Security. If you block necessary cookies, you will be signed out and checkout may not work. Clearing your browser’s site data also clears your choices here, and the cookie banner will ask you again.
